My experience includes working with individuals, groups, couples
and families, as well as all ages and genders. As a counselor, I
have had clients suffering from grief, substance abuse, a
background of physical, emotional and sexual abuse, crisis,
self-esteem, as well as various relationship and family problems.
While my approach to counseling is somewhat eclectic, I do have
a strong background in both Transactional Analysis and Family
Systems.
I received a Masters degree in Counseling from Texas A&M in
1990. For four years after graduating, I was on staff with a
Family Systems Center, and also did co-therapy with Transactional
Analysis groups during that time. Since then, I have been in
private practice. I am licensed in Counseling and in Substance
Abuse, and am also a Nationally Certified Counselor.
